Camp EcoAdventure
Camp EcoAdventure is an environmental education day camp run by the Fortson 4-H Center Environmental Education Program. The goal of the program is to offer an affordable, educational, and fun day camp to children who are interested in our local natural resources.
Registration Begins January 3rd! Register by February 29th for the lowest rate! Email completed form to muirja@uga.edu or fax to (770) 946-4494.
Monday, April 2nd: Learn what it takes to be a good team member through games and team challenges in our Team Building Class. Also learn how to build a lean to out of sticks and leaves during the Survival Class.
Tuesday, April 3rd: Campers will test out their accuracy in our Archery class! Also be prepared to get wet and muddy as campers explore our Pond and learn about the aquatic ecosystems.
Wednesday, April 4th: Meet our animals today! We have alligators, turtles, snakes and other creatures, and campers will get to meet and hold them all! Campers will also get to canoe in our pond!
Thursday, April 5th: Learn how to use a compass to navigate through our camp in our Orienteering Class. Campers will need to save up some energy for our Climbing Wall too! Don't forget to pack extra clothes and a sleeping bag! Tonight is the night to stay at Fortson!
Friday, April 6th: Learn about the people who once inhabited Fortson through exploration Native American cultures. Campers will travel back in time and use tools and play games to learn about Georgia's past. And to finish out a great week of fun, we have saved the best for last... ZIP LINE! So don't stay up too late Thursday, you don't want to miss out on today's fun!
Early Bird Registration (January 1st-February 29th) $30.00 per day or $175 for whole week (Plus a free t-shirt!). Sibling discount: 1st child @ full price, 2nd child @ $25.00/day or $150 for week
Extended Registration (March 1st -12th) $35.00 per day or $200.00 for whole week (T-shirt for $5) Sibling discount: 1st child @ full price, 2nd child @ $30.00/day or $175 for week long
Drop-Off and Check-in times are from 6:30am-8:30am. Pick-Up is between 4:30pm-5:30pm. Extended hours available.
